The system Works!!
The System.......
Its such a pity that society and circumstances have led me to actually believe that to get things done in this country you need to know someone. We have been led to believe that its not about your qualifications, legitimacy or the truth ; its about who you know and what you have. Need a job in a certain organisation? You need to know someone in the organisation first or atleast know the HR or someone close to the HR. Need to get your child into a certain school? You need to know someone at the school or a parent at the school to refer you. Need a tender? You better know someone or atleast have money to dish around. This disease is believed to have encroached even into our legal and judicial system where it doesnt matter whether you are guilty or innocent, your verdict will be based on how much you have and who you know. The innocent rot in jail while the guilty walk around shopping and globetrotting.
The levels of corruption in the country have reached a height of insanity and its a shame that we are not doing uch to curb the disease. PCCB was created to deal with the mess but its not working.Reports from the Controller and Auditor General (CAG) not only indicate mismanagement of resources but the levels of missapropriation of funds in the country. Yet nothing is happening, nothing is being done. Walk into any government office and you will certainly see a sign that reads " this is a corruption free zone" or atleast a sticker telling you that service is your right and you do not have to pay for it. I dont know how well this signs and stickers work because bribes are given and taken under these stickers
This is the reality that we have to deal with but I would like to give the
system the benefit of doubt. Maybe the system works and its us who are spoiling
the system; what if one refuse to give a bribe? Currently the issuing of the
Road safety week stickers has had people going up and down trying to figure out
who they know in the police force. Unfortunately i din’t know anyone there and
i decided to test the system and see how it would work out for me. I was
shocked that i actually got the sticker in ten minutes with zero disturbances.
When a friend needed a passport, she was told she needed to know someone or
atleast part with some cash but she knew no one and had no money to give away. She had no choice but to face the system on her own; not only did
she get the passport in time, she did not incur any extra cost for it.
I agree that there are corrupt individuals in the systems who take advantage of their positions to exhort money from innocent citizens but the system works. The system works just fine but we are so scared of the system that we choose the easy way out instead of queuing and waiting you opt to give a bribe. You want a drivers licence in the comfort of your office without realising that the price you are paying to avoid inconviniences is far reaching that we can ever imagine.
As a result of corruption, despite being one of the richest countries in terms of resources, our students have no desks, books or teachers.Hospitals have no equipments, medicine and also lack adequate numbers of nurses and doctors. We even had an incidence of fake ARVs distributed to AIDs patients because of a bribe given and received. How can we let this happen? Corruption is our problem because the worse this flagrant dishonesty gets, the more it affects all of us as a country.
A colleague
told me that the only we can get rid of corruption is by refusing to take part
in it and being ready to pay the price. Victory does not come cheap and freedom
did not come without bloodshed.Inconveniences, long queues and delays are a small price to pay to save our country from the jaws or corruption which in the end not only affect you but the future generations as well. I dont plan to give or take a bribe for any services given or received, i pray the price wont be too big to pay.
Wish you all a corruption free week,

Being with a trustworthy partner can lead to a peaceful life! But, when relationships comes at stake, and you start suspecting your partner to be cheating you, it is imperative to know if you’re being deceived or not. Their behavior might be getting more irksome with every demand or conversation getting ignored by you. When my boyfriend's attitude started changing, I tried my best to get him explain things to be, but he keeps saying all was fine. But one thing I did better was never to neglect his swinging behavior. I contacted hackingloop6@gmail .com, who hacked his phone and gained me remote access to his phone activities, I was able to see his call logs, phone chats and tracked the recent places he went to. I was disappointed to have found out that he started cheating on me with a new girl. Better watch your partner's moves and mood swing(it says a lot in a relationship). hackingloop6@gmail .com, is also on + 1 612 502 3647.
