Can men and women be just friends without complications?

Is it me or has the concept of friendship eluded most people?  Being nice or chatty to someone for the sake of wanting to make a friend is so often misconstrued that I have given up on trying to make friends with the opposite sex. You see, I recently moved to a new town. As you can imagine this is hard enough and trying to make new friends even harder. So I met this guy and somehow we seemed to click, we shared similar interests and happened to be in the same field of work. We both had passion for music, liked probing the philosophical and theological facets of life, love for natural beauty, and good conversation. Nowadays I dread watching, reading and   listening to news; there is hardly any good news anywhere. Being a scribe I should know that good news is not news but being human I know that bad news is not welcome, especially if the bad news is that of death. Just a few weeks ago, the world mourned the demise of two great visionaries who have made great contribution to our generation. Loosing Nobel laureate Wangari Maathai and Apple founder Steve jobs in one month was a great blow. Today I would like to take time to reflect and appreciate the lives of the two fallen great minds and   commemorate a great man whose visions helped shape African politics, Wangari’s death was a great loss not only to the conservation world but to the entire human race. marriage=boring

By Christine Chacha Marriage and relationships are no longer the epitome of a single lady any more. The glitz and glamour of being married or in a relationship has disappeared along with whatever joy that was ever in marriage. Am sorry to say this, but it’s a fact that married people are boring and a bad sport. As much as I want to meet, date and fall passionately in love with the man of my dreams, moving the relationship into eternal commitment makes me shudder because 90 per cent (own analysis) of married people are just boring. What makes you so boring anyway ? I need to understand what happens to you guys when you get married or into serious relationships? I've seen too many friends become unhappy and bored after marriage or getting into committed relationships. I’m tempted to advice my single friends to cavort on their own for as long as they can.
